On 22 November 2017, 12:00pm CET BlueBRIDGE organised a webinar on "New Generation Tools for Aquaculture". The webinar focused on the BlueBRIDGE tools that aquaculture producers can use to estimate the performance of their production exploiting state of the art Machine Learning methods based on the real historical production data.
Over 50 participants from around Europe attended the webinar.
Join CITE at the upcoming OpenCoffee VIII event, on Monday 20th of November 2017, at 5p.m. The event will take place at the premises of the Technological Educational Institute of the Peloponnese at Sparta, and we will discuss the course and the activities of the company, up until present time.
We will also be presenting major partnerships formated, products implemented by CITE and we will discuss the ICT business perspective within the greek environment.

CITE is hosting the 9th Project Meeting for EarthServer2, a research project funded under Horizon2020 of the EU. The meeting will take place in Best Western Ilisia Hotel, between the 7th and 9th of June. Coming at a significant point of the project's timeline, currently coursing through the third and last year of its development, EarthServer is to provide tremendous features and possibilities for researchers in Earth Observation, Climate science, Marine science, Planetary science etc.
CITE was present at CeBIT 2017, the world renowned exhibition and ICT conference that has taken place in Hanover with exhibitors and guests coming from more than 70 countries. Along with another 3,300 exhibitors exclusively focused in the field of ICT, CITE was able to successfully communicate large scale products that the company and its experts have implemented either exclusively or outsourced. In particular CeBIT 2017 Hanover was where the TimeRoll was first presented to the public as a free application for offline use.
The 4th BlueBRIDGE TCom meeting took place between the 7th and 10th of March 2017 in Copenhagen. The host was the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES). The aim was to discuss the status of the project as currently is, and also to set a plan for the upcoming months.
CITE participates in the 2nd International Congress of Applied Icthyology & Aquatic Environment, November 10-12 2016 at Messolonghi, Greece (http://hydromedit2016.apae.uth.gr/) with a presentation by Charalampos Dimitrakopoulos, researcher and consultant in CITE, on a cost-driven techno-economic evaluation model for aquaculture investment analysis.
The 2nd Technical Committee meeting of BlueBRIDGE project took place during 14-17 June 2016 in Heraklion, Crete, hosted in an excellent location by FORTH. The meeting has been an opportunity for productive exchange of ideas and visions among partners, on a number of fields ranging from technology design and implementation to socioeconomic and environmental impact analysis.
CITE has been present at the ICT2015 event held in Lisbon (PT) to present, along with PML and Rasdaman Gmbh, the EarthServer-2 project. Project's booth was located in Transform Area T14 and was one of the few exhibitors demonstrating interactive earth-data processing and visualization, attracting many event participants for getting in touch with the consortium and its technological developments.
Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation «Vassilios Papantonioy» and the Union “PostScriptum–CITE” organized an open event presenting the project «Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation in Digital Era».The event was held on Friday the 18th of September 2015, in the specially formed area of «Fougaro the Gallery». The H2020 EarthServer 2 Project has been launched in April 2015. CITE is participating EarthServer 2 as one of the core technology providers covering the fields of WCPS2.0 query language definitions and extension as well as several enabling technologies.
The Twinning project aims to bring together and facilitate the exchange of expertise between EU member states and Beneficiary countries. It is an instrument, founded and funded by the EU, in order to accomodate the institutional cooperation between Public Administrations of an EU Member and another Beneficiary country's corresponding structure.
