CITE seeks a systems' administrator / dev-ops engineer for its Sparta department

Subjects of interest include:

• Administration of systems of various operating systems (mainly Linux flavours and Windows Server).
• Administrative support of clients' systems on premises or on cloud infrastructures.
• Support and management of CITE's operations and development infrastructure.
• Management of virtualised infrastructures.
• Support in implementation and/or managment of security solutions.
• Supervision of systems' operation.
• Participation in ISO27011:xxxx implementation and verification.
• Design, support and execution of disaster recovery measures.
• Systems' configuration.
• Systems' security hardening and verification.
• Systems' operation monitoring.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with various technologies including some of the following:

• Hardware virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V).
• Containerisation technologies (Docket, Kubernetes etc).
• Relational Database Management Systems (Microsoft SQL Sever, MariaDB/mySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Distributed computation and storage infrastrucutres (Apache Spark, HDFS, DFS, NFS).
• Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

Position Qualifications

Required:

• Two (2) years of work experience on the field.
• Scripting knowledge in bash. 
• Highest education degree on relevant field (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Fulfilled military obligations (if applicable).
• Good knowledge of Greek and English languages, both written and spoken.
• Insistence on details.
• Ability to fluently communicate orally and in writing with small and large audiences.
• Ability to collaborate in small or large management and implementation groups.

Appreciated:

• Additional relevant work experience.
• Powershell scripting knowledge.
• Certiications in relevant fields. 

Employment Type - Salary

• Permanent, full-time employment contract. 
• Fixed salary that depends on experience and skills.

Job location

The main job location is as follows:

• Sparta, Laconia, Greece (if desired by applicant). 

Partially or mainly remote work may be applied in specific occasions, after mutual agreement among the two parties.
