Giorgos Zervas is a graduate of the Physics department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds a MSc in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Amsterdam from which he recently graduated. During his studies, he became familiar with programming languages such as Python, R, and C, and took a deep dive into the world of machine learning and data science using Pytorch and Tensorflow for various projects. He currently holds the position of junior data scientist at CITE, where he is mainly engaged in cloud development in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Databricks, Machine Learning Studio, Data Factory), as well as Big Data engineering and analytics.
