Job description
CITE is seeking a Technical Lead / Project Manager with the ability to lead teams, strong software engineering and software design skills, familiarity with at least one of the major development ecosystems used by the company (.NET Core or Java), and proven experience in leading and managing technical and/or research projects.
A university degree in a Computer Science related field is required, while postgraduate qualifications relevant to the position will be considered an asset.
The position is based in Athens (Kaisariani - Vyronas). Opportunities for partial or full remote work may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Qualifications and skills
Required:
- University degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications (undergraduate or postgraduate level) is required. Degrees in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines will also be considered, provided they are accompanied by a postgraduate degree in a Computer Science related field.
- Software development experience as a Software Engineer in at least one of the following technology ecosystems:
- C# / .NET Core.
- Java / Spring.
- Professional experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of Information Technology Research and Development (R&D).
- Professional experience as a Software Engineer that includes at least two (2) years in a software development team leadership role.
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Technical Project Lead or Project Manager in information technology research and/or software development projects.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Preparation and authoring of funding proposals for European Union Research Programmes (e.g., Horizon Europe).
- Preparation and authoringof funding proposals under ESPΑ-funded programmes and calls (e.g., Research-Create-Innovate).
- Sizing, solution design, and preparation of technical proposals for private-sector tenders and commercial offerings.
- Sizing, solution design, and preparation of technical proposals for public-sector procurement and tendering processes.
- Technical supervision of software system implementation projects in the private sector.
- Technical supervision and/or management of the execution of co-funded research and development projects.
- Supervision, editing and authoring of project deliverables and progress reports.
- Complex Information Systems design skills.
- Capability of managing and translating project / business requirements into work plan.
- Capability of communicating requirements, specifications, plans and progress with supervisors or customers.
Appreciated:
- Professional certifications relevant to the scope of the position.
- Experience in project financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring, including the management of team members' effort allocation and timesheets.

Employment Type
- Permanent, full-time employment contract.
