Job Description

This is a job opportunity for a web or UI/UX designer with experience in (a) designing and handling modern web content management systems (CMS) or (b) designing web application User Interfaces.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in an inclusive innovation led environment, activating at national and international level.

For examining a candidate's application, it is required that the candidate has at least one year of prior experience in the field. Alongside every submission a project portfolio is provided and its samples must be made accessible to the candidates' evaluation team.

Duties

Depending on candidate's skills, the duties of the position may include the following:

  • Design of structure and presentation of web portals for management and dissemination of information.
  • Design of user interface of web applications.
  • Design of user interface of mobile applications.
  • User experience design.
  • Communication with application beneficiaries for the definition of requirements and expectations.
  • Participation in application implementation teams.  

Qualifications and skills

Fundamental qualifications / skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5 / CSS.
  • Good knowledge of customisation and configuration for Drupal (version 8 or 9).
  • At least one (1) year of experience in the field.
  • Knowledge of open-source design and drawing platforms.
  • Experience in design of responsive, mobile-friendly web sites.
  • University degree.

 

Desired qualifications / skills:

  • Highest education degree specializing on Informatics (Bachelor's or Master's), product design, digital marketing or another related subject.
  • Experience in mobile application design.
  • Good knowledge of customisation and configuration for Drupal (version 8, 9 or 10).
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Word.

Desired qualifications / skills:

  • Certifications in technologies of relevance.
  • Programming knowledge of PHP or other platforms.
  • Ability to take initiative on everyday activities.
  • Ability to lead a team.

 

Additional requirements:

  • Fulfilled military obligations (for Greek male candidates only). 
  • Excellent written and spoken use of the English and Greek languages. 
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing. 
  • Ability to collaborate in small or large management and implementation groups. 
  • Problem solving skills.

 

Selected candidates may be subject to one or more tests to verify their skill level on technologies they declare to be competent in.

 

Employment Type

  • Full-time employment.
Depending on candidate's availability and skills the following options may be examined by CITE:
  • Part-time employment.
  • Per-project contract.

 

Salary

  • Fixed salary that depends on experience and skills.

Job location

The position refers to CITE’s offices in the following areas:

  • Athens, Attiki, Greece.
